Partner development manager – Surface
As part of our transformation, one of our key areas of focus is the modernization of our sales motions. The Insides Sales organization is a newly formed organization with a charter to accelerate Microsoft’s growth in its cloud-first, mobile-first businesses along with the traditional businesses. This organization is at the forefront of establishing a new sales model leveraging modern technology and big data and analytics to drive impactful demand response and targeted sales coverage.
The Solution Specialist role is focused on working with Microsoft’s account teams to identify and drive opportunities in targeted workloads. As an Inside Solution Specialist, you will work closely with Sellers and Partners to plan and execute account coverage and campaign strategies to unlock new sales opportunities. The role is adept at understanding the needs and process pains of customers to identify opportunities where Microsoft solutions can add long-term value. You will have the exciting opportunity to be responsible for serving as the cloud computing subject matter expert for customers, fostering a positive and collaborative experience for prospects to evaluate, engage with and implement Microsoft products and partner solutions.
The Impact You’ll Be Making
Partner Management and enablement
• Manage the relationship with our key channel resellers and distribution partners. Act as the primary point of contact for these to help them grow their Surface business.
• Drive readiness on channel incentive & pricing programs, offers and product with regular communication & training.
• Partner escalation and support on incentive, offers, claims and partner programs
• Land Promo plan execution and amplification with key channel partners and distribution
• Work with Western Europe Supply Team, Distribution and resellers to optimise required supply of devices to support opportunities and ongoing run rate requirements
· Pipeline Creation and Management:
• Drive pipeline creation and readiness activities with key channel partners
• Proactively support partners progress and close pipeline, including direct end customer engagement when required
• Responsible for ensuring that all opportunities are being proactively driven by the extended team and correctly updated in our internal tools
• Coordination of the creation & execution end to end of Marketing POs for partner marketing activities, review and approval of local Co-Op Plans
• Work in a fast-paced, collaborative, dynamic teaming environment with internal and external stakeholders
Experience and Skills
• Exceptional interpersonal, as well as verbal and written communication skills to succeed in a customer facing role
• Fluent English
• Degree preferred
• 4-6 years of technology related sales, business development or Channel Management experience, working within a technical sales environment preferred
• Experience of engaging and managing Technology partners and distributors.
• Knowledge of Hardware devices, in particular Surface
• Knowledge of Microsoft Modern Workplace Solutions (O365, collaboration tools, security etc.)
• Target driven and focused with proven track record
• Proven track record of outstanding performance and achieving goals
• Takes initiative to find solutions and overcome blockers
