Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with internal customers to determine the business requirement
  • Build positive relationships with internal customers and suppliers
  • Undertake market research activities regarding suppliers / business requirements to source the best suppliers and solutions
  • Help define the procurement strategy
  • Drive vendor consolidation
  • Work with the appropriate Finance Managers to understand the status of the budgets and savings
  • Draft and issue Invitation to Tenders to suppliers, and analyze tender responses
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers
  • Prepare summary papers recommending the way forward for procurement projects
  • Engage with vendors to manage changes, additions and cancellations to ensure billing matches expectation
  • Ensure appropriate levels of vendor risk management
  • Monthly analysis and reporting of spend, reporting on variance from expectations
  • Identify and track cost saving initiatives
  • Help evaluate vendor performance

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required

  • CIPS Level (min. 3) Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Good influencing and negotiating skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi task
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Fluent English (C1)

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Desired

  • Previous experience managing procurement for a technology focused department organization
  • Previous experience working in a busy operational department with multiple stakeholder engagements
