Cpl Healthcare is delighted to announce our partnership with one of Ireland’s leading health and social care providers. We are currently recruiting a Person in Charge (Social Care Manager) to join our client’s new respite service in Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Social care Professional to advance their career and develop strong leadership skills, and provide leadership and management to all staff within the service. As a PIC, the chosen candidate will report to the Managing Director.
Duties of the chosen candidate will include:
- Lead the care team in the provision of excellent evidence-based care and implement all aspects of the care plans based on the needs identified and review accordingly.
- Plan, allocate and evaluate the workload of all staff.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding systems in line with Policies and Procedures
- Liaise with all Health Care Professionals and HSE
- Identify staff training needs and provide them accordingly.
- Recruit, select and effectively manage a dispersed workforce.
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Level 7/8 Degree in Social Studies (or suitable equivalent qualification with a management qualification in healthcare).
- 5 Years post qualification experience (2 of which should be in management).
- Experience in Autism and children a distinct advantage.
- A Healthcare Management/business qualification is desirable.
- Experience in leading and managing teams.
- Driving license essential
- Work knowledge of HIQA Standards
