CPL are delighted to once again support our manufacturing client source their next manufacturing Engineering Manager. This role has opened up as a result of a long-term staff member moving onwards. This is a busy CMO manufacturing environment, and the hiring manager is looking for someone that is comfortable at managing and developing a team of MET’s as well as managing the day-to-day technical aspects of the role.
Ideally looking for candidates form a high-volume manufacturing environment, and a strong leader than can manage at multiple levels as well as being part of a team that manages the client relationship from an engineering perspective.
Brief Summary
The post holder will be the site technology leader of the manufacturing process and systems to deliver both operational and performance efficiency. Development and implementation of ME strategies. Provide the ongoing review of equipment utilisation, production methods , staff and material flow.
Key Duties will include:
• Lead and develop a team of engineers in manufacturing environment.
• Manage product and process change activities, technology transfers while assuring continuity of supply.
• Work cross functionally & cross site to deliver finished product to the end customer.
• Lead projects to drive continuous improvement in key metrics in alignment with Lean, 6 Sigma, Design Robustness and Problem-Solving Principles
• Deliver solutions to enhance product reliability and process capability.
The successful candidate will have:
• Degree level or Higher in relevant technical discipline (Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electronics, Engineering, or alternative) with 10 years relevant engineering experience..
• 5 years’ experience or more in a relevant leadership position.
• Very strong technical background (Mechanical / Electromechanical / Manufacturing)
• Excellent collaboration & communications skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
• A strong inspirational leader & excellent team player that knows how to develop and drive high performance teams.
• A high paced individual that leads by example, is organized and solution focused.
• Overall ability to combine technical, design and manufacturing skillsets in a high pace, dynamic environment.
• Can mentor, develop and guide the team in problem solving and is solutions driven.
• Utilizes their knowledge and skillset to get the job done with pace, efficiently utilizing all resources available.
