Primary duties may include but are not limited to:
Lead the technical scoping, design and delivery of a product deliverable/workstream
Lead technical teams of 3-5 associates
Leadership:
Provide mentorship to junior associates
Identify skills gaps within the team and coordinate training or learning opportunities to address
Navigate complex or ambiguous problems and guide the team towards effective solutions
Facilitate discussions to resolve technical disagreements, guiding the team towards alignment whilst considering diverse viewpoints
Identify potential risks, dependencies and challenges early, working with the team to mitigate them and develop contingency plans
Identify performing outliers and proactively highlight to management to ensure appropriate development plan
Active contribution to team building initiatives to support team growth and create process efficiencies
Communication:
Communicate with all levels in the company and adjust content to the audience as necessary
Engage with the agile team and cross-functional stakeholders to interpret and understand project requirements and business context for potential data solutions
Provide impactful insights based on analysis/build outcomes and make recommendations to leadership and influence the team to increase business impact
Provide clear executive communication to senior leadership as required to ensure awareness of key product updates and provide a channel of communication between senior leadership and the project team
Communicate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements
Articulate clearly the business requirements, project scope and individual responsibilities to the workstream
Present technical findings internally
Seek and provide regular feedback amongst colleagues and actively share feedback on technical team with the respective managers
Technical responsibilities (independently and team members oversight):
Experts SQL skills, familiar with architectural best practices
Expert in Python with a focus on writing performant code
Capable of aligning smaller technical projects with business goals
Good collaboration skills within and across teams
Ability to lead small to medium projects or specific aspects of larger projects
Understands the basic complexities of delivering solutions to production
Capable of design and implementation in less complex data solutions
Familiar with aspects of enterprise architecture

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required (in data science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Machine learning, Econometrics, Physics or related quantitative disciplines).
Master's on PHD in the field is a plus
Certifications AWS and/or GCP
preferred
Snowflake Certification preferred
Familiarity with Jira & Agile frameworks like SAFE is a plus
Leadership:
experience in owning the technical delivery of part of a project
Mentoring other team members
Ability to deliver to short timelines and under pressure
Desire to become a technical SME
Technical skills
Experienced professional with proficiency in the following (works independently and oversees the work of other team members):
Be a subject matter expert for any ETL/Data Engineering tool/technology
Big Data technologies/ Big Data Technologies - Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Impala
Strong in any programming language. Ideally Python.
Strong in SQL
Databases & Warehouses: Experience with Relational and any NoSQL databases like DynamoDB or MongoDb or cloud equivalent.
Shell scripting
Cloud experience - AWS, GCP, or Azure
DevOps/MLOps experience: Jenkins/Bamboo
CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Development) /CT (Continuous Training)/CM (Continuous Monitoring)
