IT Support Technician
The IT Support Technician will be responsible for daily collaboration with the IT Manager and the IT Team. The successful candidate must assist with the properties' IT requirements and needs, for both IT software and hardware. This is a full-time permanent position. This is an ideal opportunity for learning and progression within a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
Duties
- Assist the IT manager as directed in the day to day operations of the IT Department
- Training, support and guidance to the IT support technician already in place
- Set up and configure PCs and users on the internal company IT system
- Install, configure and support business specific applications, including MICROS POS and Oracle Opera
- Prepare and maintain SOP documentation for all aspects of the IT department’s operations
- Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot for printers, mobile devices and other authorised peripheral equipment in all areas and departments
- Provide day to day hands-on technical support to all areas and departments
- Provide problem diagnosis for hardware, software and in-house applications
- Manage desktop anti-virus management systems
- Diagnose, repair, and refer server, hardware or software problems
- Provide first line help for users and escalate issues as required
- General maintenance of AV systems
Requirements:
- At Least 2/3 years previous work experience in IT Support
- Third level IT qualification (at least 2 year diploma level) is essential, and the successful candidate must be prepared to undertake additional training as required
- Functional knowledge of Windows 11Pro, Firewalls, Virtualization (VMware and Hyper-v) and Server experience WS2016 upwards would be an advantage
- Well-developed communication skills, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong organizational skill are essential
- Previous experience of Micros POS and /or Oracle Opera interfacing is desirable
- Familiarity with Maintaining/Troubleshooting Domain IP networks, Active Directory and Veeam Backup is necessary
- Ability to work without supervision
- Knowledge of AV systems would is essential
- Willingness to learn and apply new knowledge and techniques
- Flexibility in all areas of work
- Availability to work overtime when required
- Fluency of English language is essential, both written and verbal, is essential
- Full Drivers Licence is essential
