- Current Need:
- SK biotek Ireland is seeking to recruit an IM Lab Automation Analyst to join the IT Department reporting to the IT Manager on a temporary basis.
- Position Description:
- Reporting to the IT Manager, the successful candidate will manage IT activities in support of a planned Program of new Laboratory Automation System deployments in the Quality Control and Research and Development Laboratories.
- IM Lab Automation Analyst will:
- Project Manage the implementation of Laboratory Automation Systems
- Ensure that all updates and changes to Laboratory systems and applications follow Change Control procedures.
- Be responsible for the development and execution of validation documentation for Laboratory Automation Systems implementation.
- Adhere to GAMP Guidelines, cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, internal and external audit requirements and SK company policies relating to Computer System Validation, Data Integrity and IT Security.
- Develop required Laboratory Automation Systems SOP’s/Work Instructions, to ensure adequate procedures and documentation are in place on system handover from projects to production.
- Assist when required in problem determination and decision making for all system problems encountered during system commissioning. Recording and analysis of same to ensure successful implementation and prevent reoccurrence.
- Provide support in response to calls logged with the Helpdesk. Management and monitoring of Laboratory Automation calls to ensure SLA/metrics are maintained.
- Provide user training on new applications, as appropriate, prior to handover
- Working as part of a multi-functional internal project team, the IM Lab Automation analyst will require excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The role will also involve working closely with Laboratory System Vendors and liaising with their Technical Support to troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered in commissioning. The IM Lab Automation analyst will also be required to engage and fully participate in project and planning meetings, daily huddles and technical support calls.
- A BSc in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline is required. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT systems support and/or an IT project implementation role is required. The desired candidate should be highly motivated, have strong teamwork skills, with proven success in delivering IT projects in a dynamic environment to agreed budget and timelines.
- Prior experience of implementing Laboratory Automation Systems in a GMP environment is desirable. The successful candidate will have a strong ability to manage their own workload and will play an important part in ensuring the overall Program of new Laboratory Automation Systems is successfully delivered.
