The Role;
- Supporting the preparation of monthly and quarterly internal and external financial reporting to various stakeholders.
- Preparing month end financial reports for the Senior Financial Controller.
- Preparing annual statutory and regulatory accounts for the Financial Controller.
- Producing Cashflow analysis to feed into the Treasury Management processes.
- Support the annual internal and external audit processes.
- Prepare the annual budget, business partnering with all areas of the business.
- Reporting on on-going projects to business managers on a regular basis.
- Internal regulatory reporting to Financial Controller, Head of Finance and Legal and Group Finance.
- Working closely with the NI Regulation Team in preparing regulatory submissions to the Northern Ireland Authority for utility Regulation.
- Managing the finance system (Microsoft Dynamics) ensuring effective and efficient processing of financial data.
- Producing general ledger analysis to feed into the Corporation Tax computations
- Driving efficiencies through process improvements.
What we are looking for;
- Recently qualified Big 4/Top 10 practice trained accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with 2+ years post qualification experience or equivalent.
- Advanced skills in MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- High standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective influencer and willing to challenge the status quo in the interests of delivering change.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
- A strong interest in systems and technology and willingness to develop skills in this area.
