Cpl in partnership with our client Pfizer are currently recruiting for Treasury Analyst based in their GFS site.

Job Title: Treasury Analyst

Responsible to:  Treasury Team Lead

Job Purpose:                     

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the below key tasks for certain countries;
  • Preparation of daily cash forecast for the DTC (Dublin Treasury Centre)
  • Liquidity management through cash pooling, account funding, money market deals
  • Reconciling monthly call accounts, loan and deposits
  • Audit Queries
  • Query resolution

Job Description:

  • Prepare cash forecasts in a timely, accurate and complete manner
  • Ensure all funding transfer requests are processed and approved
  • Active management of local bank accounts ensuring balances are minimised
  • Actively monitor and manage cash account balances ensuring accurate money market deals and FX transactions are executed
  • Clearing all reconciling items within 60 days.
  • Ensure all open items are cleared for assigned SAP Treasury Accounts on a monthly basis
  • Manage Treasury Accounting transactions and step plans
  • Ad hoc reporting and project work
  • Maintain and adhere to Treasury’s SOX documentation and Systematic Training documents ensuring all internal controls are complied with
  • Focus on continuous improvement in order to reduce non-value added activities
  • Handle queries, provide advice and technical support, including training, to internal and external customers
  • Represent the Treasury function on cross functional teams
  • Personal Development - keep abreast of the latest Treasury knowledge areas within and outside of Pfizer

Education, Skills and Experience Required

  • Professional Accountancy Qualification or Third level degree
  • Good knowledge of treasury accounting
  • Experience with Quantum (treasury management system) is desirable
  • SAP experience
  • Strong excel skills preferable
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with GFS, process owners, management, financial institutions and the wider finance community
  • Fluent English speaker is essential.
  • A multilingual candidate is an added advantage

  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility in an ever changing business environment
