Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager
Contract duration: 6 months

Position Description Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering complex and strategic IT projects within a global environment. The Project Manager will be required to manage and co-ordinate all project activities from initiation to implementation including project set-up, kick-off, requirements analysis, solution design, build, test, production implementation, post implementation review, trainings, issue resolution, status reporting and lessons learned. 

Job Specific Responsibilities

Lead and manage complex IT projects from initiation to implementation
Accountable for delivering medium to large projects on time, within defined scope and within budget
Responsible for project planning and resource allocation across multiple teams
Ensures project methodologies, project delivery processes and implementation management processes are followed
Accountable for project documentation including project plans, timelines, status reports, and issue/risk logs
Responsible for controlling and monitoring performance across all aspects of an assigned project
Provides support to the delivery stream and customers to define business requirements while taking ownership for delivering quality solutions
Responsible for the prioritisation of all project tasks



Job Requirements

Proven success in delivering medium to large complex IT projects within budget and specified timeframes, while ensuring customer satisfaction
Self-motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative
Strong knowledge of software development cycle
3 to 5 years project management experience (or a Bachelor's Degree)
Payments business knowledge is a strong advantage
Strong analytical, verbal and written communication
Ability to work independently and in a team environment across geographical boundaries
Quality focused with strong attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, with a drive and commitment towards project delivery
Strong organisational skills with the ability to perform project tasks effectively, while managing time and priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools
Confident with preparing presentations, proposing solutions and driving decisions
Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments
