Job Description

Cpl HR recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading global pharmaceutical company in recruiting for a Learning and Development Lead for their site in West Dublin. This role will particularly suit a candidate who has previous experience in a management or lead position in a highly regulated environment.

 

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Assessing training needs at different sites
  • Manage the development and implementation of learning strategy for the facility
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of core training programs and ensure programs are continuously improved
  • Provide technical expertise and resources in the design, development and implementation of new learning programs
  • Assess and improve site learning system based on results from Learning System Maturity Assessment
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives
  • Continuously improve technology to effective learning solutions
  • Develop learning plans and any associated budgets to deliver agreed business results
  • Oversee transition to risk-based training assignments and reduction on dependency on SOP read & sign in favour of competency based training approaches and accreditation of prior learning (APL)
  • Participate fully in any cross functional training initiatives

 

Skills required to fulfil the role:

  • Degree in Science, Life-science or Engineering discipline required
  • 2 - 4 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry desirable
  • Proven ability to influence at all levels within the organisation
  • Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and regulatory compliance preferred
  • Proven experience with Learning Systems or Processes
  • Strong leadership experience along with exceptional decision making skills
