Job Description

Our client is a leading publishing company who provide the platforms and systems to support some of the world’s leading privately owned media companies specialising in health, finance and travel industries. 

They are currently looking for a JUNIOR TECHNICAL SUPPORT AGENT WITH FLUENT FRENCH AND EXPERIENCE IN SQL to joing their busy team in County Waterford. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious IT professional looking to take the next steps in their career or a recent graduate with practical work experience. This is an extremely technical role where the successful candidate will be answering tickets / queries using SQL - ie by writing code and running database queries.

SO WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:

  • Resolves support tickets and issues in a timely fashion
  • Communicates with customers on efforts and resolutions to tickets and issues.
  • Escalates support tickets and open issues to the appropriate teams
  • Manage your own daily work load effectively
  • Improves customer relations and further develops customer confidence
  • Identify and understand the business needs of the affiliates and take appropriate decisions
  • Make suggestions to improve relations with our affiliates and to improve our systems
  • Hit SLA, first-time-fix and quality assurance targets

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in application support and troubleshooting with a strong desire to learn and problem solve
  • Fluent French speaker
  • Experience with SQL, mostly SELECT statements for data verification
  • Experience in e-Commerce and web environments
  • Familiarity with Support Ticketing Systems.
  • Expert attention to detail

A positive attitude is a must with a passion for providing excellent customer service. We need somebody who has exemplary communication skills and is not afraid to make suggestions.

Salary is 25k - 28k + amazing benefits (company pension scheme, free on-site gym, free parking)
