Junior Quantity Surveyor
Our client, one of the leading Building and Civil Engineering Main Contractors with operations throughout Ireland and UK is seeking to recruit a Junior Quantity Surveyor, to join their team based in Leinster. The successful Junior Quantity Surveyor will work closely with the construction managers, site engineers and will report to the Senior QS/Construction Manager. 
The role involves:
Complete and administer the initial review of tenders, rates, preliminaries, terms and conditions, prior to commencement of a contract.
Issue interim and final accounts and progress applications per project and contract requirements.
Support commercial meetings with the client, sub-contractors and the internal team. 
General commercial assistance of sub-contractor, reporting the status of the project.
Costing and agreeing daily work changes to include site day works and site change orders.
Liaise with customer in contract administration, progress account valuations, prepare supporting documentation, final account negotiations, final payment certificates and retentions.
Adherence to company practices, processes and generally accepted industry standards.
To be considered for the role you must:
Hold a Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying,, Construction Management or equivalent.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office and a high level of computer literacy.
Have more than 2 years experience as a surveyor, preferably in the mechanical sector
Have ability to negotiation and build rapport with customers and subcontractors.
Be proficient in the English language (spoken, written, technical).
