Health and Safety / Facilities Supervisor

Flexsource are currently recruiting an exciting new role based in Dundalk, Co. Louth! We are searching for an experienced Health and Safety / Facilities Supervisor to join our Clients expanding team. Our Client is an exciting and prestigious furniture design and manufacturer.

The ideal candidate will have 3 – 5 years’ Supervisor experience in Health and Safety or Facilities in a Warehouse environment, be energetic, motivated and enthusiastic, have a good work ethic and be self-driven.

Key Responsibilities

Health and Safety:

  • Lead member of Safety Taskforce/Committee
  • Lead development of ‘Safety Culture’
  • Ensure statutory compliance with all H&S laws & regulations
  • Ensure compliance with, and appropriateness of, safety rules and recommend improvements
  • Perform Risk Assessments, Safety Audits and Accident / Incident investigations
  • Identify Training needs & Track employee compliance
  • Maintain Safety Management System and Records
  • Prepare SOP’s for all warehouse and operatives’ tasks
  • Deliver weekly toolbox talks to various departments within organisation
  • Capture and report on all key H&S KPI’s weekly and monthly
  • Prepare & analyse Safety Data to drive continuous improvements



  • Ensure that all relevant safety & environmental requirements are met by contractors
  • Ensure security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly (Alarm Monitoring, Fire Alarm Monitoring, Emergency Evacuation procedures)
  • Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures
  • Manages and reviews all facility service contracts
  • Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections
  • Checks completed work by facility vendors and contractors
  • Reviews facility asset service reports and recommends any modifications/upgrades as identified
  • Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees and contractors
  • Develop & Maintain a master list of all facilities and required preventative maintenance (PM)
  • Manage Facility Contracts including; Utilities / Security / Cleaning / Pest Control / Landscaping / Fire Protection / Security Alarms / Cameras / Access Control / Waste Management etc
  • Manage all relevant PM maintenance/facilities budgets; plan and manage small/medium capital projects in the department to successful completion
  • Coordinate the implementation of remedial actions identified in facility audits
  • Plan & co-ordinate all facilities projects
  • Maintain and manage work permits system and compliance records
  • Review and manage utility consumption for facility


Key Requirements

  • Ideally a third level qualification in Health and Safety and/or Facilities Management
  • 3 – 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Ability to work both on own initiative and within a team
  • Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health and Safety regulations, Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards and all other Company policies and procedures
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of people to succeed by leading by example, setting objectives and defining responsibilities to give a clear sense of direction



Working hours Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm (subject to change)

Competitive package – Basic salary €30K - €35K including bonus structure
