Build credibility with business leaders and become a true partner by understanding the business, its objectives and requirements and to deliver on these as they relate to human resources responsibilities.
Be a proactive member of business Management Teams closely collaborating in joint strategies to grow and improve the business.
Ensure that staff are appropriately skilled and being developed through a mix of on-the-job experience and training, facilitating career progression and meeting succession planning requirements.
Coach, support and challenge senior business leaders on all aspects of their people strategy including their own Leadership, Management and Development skills.
Growing and developing capability within the team, ensuring the right configuration of roles and skills to deliver on compliance strategy.
Provide active leadership on people issues such as organisational development/change, leadership, recruitment, mobility, reward, employee relations, talent, performance, culture and learning and development.
Lead and facilitate change initiatives, influencing business leaders to operate within the organisations policies and procedures, as well as providing guidance and advice at all key stages to ensure effective and timely delivery of objectives.
Lead the design and alignment of HR policy to support business strategy and ensure compliance with Irish legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice.
Take the lead on/participate in key HR projects and initiatives both locally and, where required, globally.
Keep abreast of and provide advice on legislation, changes to employment law and best practice. Also advise on all employee relations issues including restructuring, family friendly policies, sickness and disability, performance management and conduct, reward, disciplinary & grievance matters, managed exits, settlement and termination agreements and employment tribunals.
Work with business leaders to identify key talent, key roles, future potential talent and to identify suitable promotion candidates and advise on the promotions process.
Actively work with the business to identify and address performance management issues.
Oversee and manage L&D initiatives. Provide advice and recommendations and implement solutions that meet the development needs of the business.
Exchange good practices and HR experience with internal and external HR colleagues and business contacts and consult with them to exchange ideas/initiatives.
Audit checker and final responsibility to ensure all payroll associated activities are actioned correctly and within current HR procedures.
Responsible for HR annual budget process ensuring all costs are accurate and forecasted appropriately.
Professional/ Managerial Autonomy:
Has professional freedom in decision making and in what needs to be done. Acts and decides independently within Irish legislation, regulatory requirements and broadly defined HR policies.
Works with the Head HR Europe to set the strategic agenda for managing people risks and plays an active role in managing them.
Member of the Dublin Management Team.
Members of the Dublin Crisis Management Team.
Other Delegated Responsibilities:
HR signatory for legally binding agreements e.g. Contracts of Employment, Settlement Agreements.
HR Risk / Control owner.
Strong interpersonal, client relationship, influencing and communication skills.
Degree educated in Human Resources
Relevant experience ideally with a financial services background
At least 5 years experience in a senior HR role in Ireland
