Job Description

My Client, a provider of medical equipment and services, is looking to recruit a Group Finance Manager for their Headquarters in Cork. The Finance Manager will report directly to the Financial Director in an effort to maximise productivity, efficiency and to improve staff and processes. The ideal candidate would be responsible in leading and supporting the Group AR, AP and Treasury Functions. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of a large finance team
  • Implementing Process improvements where appropriate
  • Monitoring of key performance indicators and the establishment of a continuous improvement culture
  • Lead, Mentor and Develop direct reports
  • Monitor daily cash positioning and cashflow forecasting for the group, ensuring adequate liquidity is available daily to meet the business needs
  • Management of the groups asset-based lending facilities
  • FX execution and hedging 
  • Identify risks and opportunities that may affect the financial performance of the company
  • Full responsibility for the management of a large finance team
  • Review existing processes within the Finance department, implementing improvements where appropriate
  • Monitoring of key performance indicators and the establishment of a continuous improvement culture
  • Lead, Mentor and Develop direct reports
  • Monitor daily cashflow for liquidity purposes 
  • Management of the groups asset-based lending facilities
  • FX execution and hedging
  • Identify Opportunities to improve the Financial performance of the company

Key Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support, motivate and develop your team to improve and drive performance across the function, whilst ensuring they are aligned to the overall Company strategy
  • Skill in developing a team whose performance levels are constantly high both regarding their outputs and their attitudes and behaviours
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with experience in prioritising multiple deadlines
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving
  • Adaptable and capable of working on own initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to build relationships with external stakeholders
  • Enthusiastic and driven to succeed
  • Strong people management experience is a must
  • Quick learner with good time management skills with the ability to prioritise
  • Works under pressure, deadline orientated and flexible working attitude

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant CPA/ACA/ACCA
  • Minimum of 2 Years’ experience in a similar Finance Manger role
  • Experience in managing, leading, and developing members of a Finance team
  • Ability to take ownership and responsibility for the role from an early stage
  • High level of computer literacy, especially excel
  • Commercial awareness
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage but not essential
