Job Description

A Client on mine in the educational construction sector is looking for a full time clerical officer for 12 months.

You must be available immediately with relevant previous experience ideally within the construction sector.

Essential Experience needed 
• High level of spoken and written English

• Good time keeping

• Flexible and ability to use initiative

• Good telephone skills/experience

• Competent writing skills – ability to draft letters etc

• Personal motivation to ensure tasks are satisfactorily completed to meet deadlines

• Ability to organise, plan, schedule and follow up

• Competent to work under pressure

• Good Communication skills

• Excellent Team Member

• Discreet and tactful


1. Checking, processing, editing, retrieving and filing of information and associated spreadsheets
2. Face-to-face, telephone and written communication with customers
3. Rostered duties on the dedicated Call Centre lines dealing with queries
4. Operation of in-house computer systems
5. Maintain an efficient filing system for prompt and easy access to documents
6. Open, record, distribute and deal with correspondence. Keep and monitor a speedy inflow of correspondence/communications within the Unit
7. Liaise with other Units within the business in pursuit of information to ensure the smooth running of the Unit
8. Ensure a high level of customer service
9. Assist in the maintenance and improvement of Quality Systems
10. Other duties as may be specified by Manager of Section from time to time

Quality System Responsibilities:

• Ensure that Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to

• Engage in work in a manner which leads to continuous improvement

• Engage in preventative action where possible to avoid risk to projects

Salary is €24k anually or €12.36 P/H
