Category Manager External Manufacturing

The Global External Manufacturing organization headquartered in Dublin is responsible for the management of manufacturing and reliable supply across the global network

The Role

This role focuses on the development of category strategies that define how purchasing will be done for a given spend category in API and or Drug Product including defining buying channels purchasing policies and supplier relationship management program etc

Responsibilities:

 
Develop global category strategies with regional market variations that define how purchasing will be done for a given spend category

Define buying channels and purchasing policies to drive compliance and adherence to category strategy with a user centric approach


Define a supplier relationship management program including segmentation criteria and a preferred supplier list for a given category

Develop a 3 5 year strategic plan to realize category strategy targets

Ensure clear roles and responsibilities between regional local resources and global category leads to ensure ldquo one face rdquo to the business


Requirements:

Degree plus of 6 8 years of business experience
Minimum of 5 6 years of multi disciplined procurement experience with 3 years Pharmaceutical Procurement experience
Minimum of 3 year Pharmaceutical Procurement experience
