Mechanical Estimator
We are currently working with a specialist mechanical engineering contractor, who due to continued success are experiencing a period of growth and are seeking to add a Mechanical Estimator to their team. Joining their Estimation department based in their Newry Head Office the Mechanical Estimator will work closely with the COO, Construction Director and Senior Estimator responsible for gathering and submitting competitive tenders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Be responsible for the day-to-day estimating activities will include costing of a wide range of commercial and industrial applications.
· Generate detailed mechanical take-offs for turnkey commercial projects which will involve liaising with a wide range of suppliers to obtain accurate quotations for specialist equipment.
· Obtaining estimates and prices from suppliers and building our network of suppliers.
· Creating and delivering tender presentations.
· Following up tenders and securing projects.
Person Specification:
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Mechanical Estimating or similar Estimating role.
· Experience working on projects across a variety of industries such as Residential, Commercial, and Pharma/Healthcare.
· Commercial awareness.
· Experience in reading plans.
· Ability to complete detailed take-offs.
