Jobs in Galway with German

Posted: September 22nd, 2011 Category: Graduate Opportunities, Multilingual Opportunities No Comments »

My name is Silvana Cuesta; I am a Spanish girl working as recruitment consultant in CPL Dublin, the largest recruitment company in Ireland. Before my current role, I studied and worked in different business schools around Europe and Asia. However, when I graduated, I decided to come to Ireland in order to start my professional career due the opportunities that the country provides for multilingual and recent graduates.

Since last year, I’ve noticed a big demand for German speaking candidates – especially within multinational companies - based in Ireland. When people think about these multinationals, Dublin is the first place that comes to mind but I just wanted to mention the fantastic opportunities available across the country. The best example of this national demand would be Galway in the west of Ireland.

At the moment Galway represents an excellent job market for German speakers as lots of large multinationals have chosen to locate here. The vacancies are in a large number of areas including IT, customer service and sales (among others). I firmly believe that German speakers who really want to progress within a multinational company should consider the “west city” of Ireland as a place to grow and create a great professional career.

If you have ever thought of Galway being the next stop on your international career path, get in touch! If not, why not?!

Demand for HTML5 Jobs in Dublin

Posted: September 21st, 2011 Category: software development No Comments »

I have read recently that HTML5 is one of the future technologies that is set to change the way we use the web and drastically change how pages are refreshed to give us much more interactivity. Alongside this, I’ve also seen a significant demand from my clients for candidates with HTML5 and Objective C.

This demand for HTML5 has happened slowly but it’s upon us now. This time last year there was no real demand for Web Developers to have HTML5, Objective C or JavaScript now they want all three.

If you are a HTML5 developer, can you tell me your own feedback on the technology. Does it give you the functionality you need, do you enjoy working on it and using it?

I’m seeing very positive salary trends for candidates with HTML5 and keen to discuss your experience with HTML5. If you have any thoughts or questions please let me know on Belinda.bielenberg@cpl.ie or call me on 01-6146058.

For more on Objective C I will be back next week but please feel free to let me know of your thoughts on this blog belinda.bielenberg@cpl.ie.

German Jobs in Ireland

Posted: September 19th, 2011 Category: Graduate Opportunities, Multilingual Opportunities No Comments »

My name is Ivonne Rauhut and I’m a German Recruiter working and living in Ireland.

Initially I wanted to gain work experience abroad and I also wanted to improve my English. I decided to look for German jobs in the UK and in Ireland. But where do you look for German jobs abroad and who can help you with all your questions and concerns you have? After searching on the internet for a while, I came across CPL Recruitment www.cpl.ie which is Ireland’s biggest recruitment agency. Honestly at the start I was very sceptical to contact a Recruitment Agency in Ireland about German Jobs because I thought I have to pay for the service they provide but I found out that I was wrong! CPL could answer all my questions regarding health insurance, pension, relocating and finding a place to live. I’ve now been living for nearly a year in Dublin and this was by far the best choice I have ever made.

I’m now a specialist recruiter hiring German candidates for IT and Customer Service jobs in Ireland. If you’re thinking about working abroad or interested in discussing the issues you will face, I’m happy to help you out.

If you are just interested to discuss the job market in Ireland if you are German and what it’s like to live and work here, just get in touch.

Deutsche Jobs in Irland

German Opportunities in Ireland

My name is Johanna Schubert from Hamburg and I’m working as a German recruiter in Dublin.

During my studies I had to do an internship abroad and when I got an offer from Dublin my first reaction was “Dublin-no way!” I have heard a few bad things about Dublin – lots of rain, its one of the most expensive cities in Europe, the economy is struggling and it rains, a lot!

Despite all of these issues, I started my internship with an irish insurance company in 2010.When I arrived in Dublin, it was love at first sight and I’m now living here almost a year.

I found a great room on my first day here. Prices were reasonable and I felt safe and welcome.

I liked my internship in the insurance company but very quickly, I realized that as a german speaker with good speaking English skills and some customer service experience you have a lot of employment options. It was very easy to find German based job opportunities and within 4days I found a great internship with CpL Language jobs in Dublin. Today I’m working as a proper German recruiter in the multilingual Team of Cpl Language jobs!

The thing I like the most about living and working in Ireland is that there is a lot of demand for people with language skills despite their education or work experiences. The current labour market has opportunities for German speakers to develop a career with some of the world leading multinational companies based in Dublin and most of these leading multinationals are clients of cpl.

If you are interested in more information just have a look on www.cpljobs.ie or contact me directly. I am willing to answer all of your questions about careers, job opportunities for German speakers and I can even help with relocating to Ireland.

Wann kommst Du?

Demand for HTML5, Javascript and Objective C skills for Web Development Jobs in Dublin rising

Posted: September 15th, 2011 Category: software development No Comments »

Over the last three Quarters, we have seen a steady increase in the demand for candidates with experience in HTML5 and Objective C for Web Development roles in Dublin.

Given what we know that there are more mobile users than PC users and the rise of Smartphone’s/iPad’s is out pacing growth in the traditional PC market, this has led companies to look for more mobile solutions. With this rising interest in Mobile Application Development, clients are now looking for web developers with experience in HTML5 and Objective C alongside JavaScript skills. There was only one online company seeking candidates with Objective C, HTML5 and Javascript this time last year, remarkably now most clients want candidates with all three.

Web Developers who have experience with HTML5, Objective C and JavaScript will be in demand now and over the next 2-3 years. Our suggestion is that if you are a web developer you should look to up skill and learn HTML5, Objective C or JavaScript. If you can sign up to some external courses to see what way this is progressing it will definitely help you build your skills profile.

We are also seeing that salary levels for Web Developers with these skills are very positive and holding. So longer term these represent good career progression as you have the opportunity to be working with cutting edge technology but earning power can be sustained.

If you are interested in discussing job and salary trends within Web Development and in particular what his happening with HTML5, Objective C and JavaScript, contact Belinda on 01 6146058 or email Belinda.bielenberg@cpl.ie. I’m also keen to hear your experience with HTML5 and what is your feedback?

BIG 4 Jobs Surge – Chartered Accountants in Demand!

Posted: September 15th, 2011 Category: Accountancy and Finance Jobs, Accountancy recruitment, Business Analysts Jobs Salary Dublin Ireland, No Categories No Comments »
Whether You are an FAE student awaiting results in the months ahead or already a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) you will be glad to hear that the market has been improving since the start of the summer. A barometer for the current qualified CA market as a whole is that all of the Big 4 firms are seeking Audit, Tax and Corporate Finance professionals. They are working closely with experienced recruitment firms to find strong Auditors in particular, with large client experience either in the Financial Services, ICT or Industry areas.

Big 4 practice life may not be every Auditors ambition however it is certainly regarded as the pinnacle within the marketplace. To have a Big 4 branded employer on your CV will give you huge credibility and experience with Multinational clients. Bearing this in mind, let’s face it – it is the MNC’s and Global Financial Services organisations that are doing the lions share of the hiring outside practice at the moment.

Many Auditors are joining a Big 4 firm with the intention of getting the brand onto their CV and getting a bit of experience for a few years before going out into Industry. However with improving atmosphere and culture in many of the larger firms ‘Staff Retention’ has become a key focus. In fact, on a recent visit to one of my Big 4 clients an Audit partner highlighted that they have no problem with a CA joining them with the intention of only staying 18 months because the reality is “that it is up to the firm to invest in the individual and show them the benefits of remaining with the firm in the long term”.

Make sure you work closely with the right recruiter who has a strong relationship with the firm you are targeting and leverage that relationship to make sure your best foot goes forward.

If you think you have suitable experience, skills and acumen take on a new challenge with a Big 4…then contact Dave Riordan ACA dave.riordan@careers-register.com or 01 500 5904 who will review and confidentially discuss opportunities.

10 Ways to Improve Your Business Performance through Analytics

Posted: September 8th, 2011 Category: Analytics Salary Guide Dublin Ireland 2011, Business Analysts Jobs Salary Dublin Ireland No Comments »

Businesses today have more information than ever before, stored in more systems and locations, being produced in increasingly varied forms and being used in many different ways. Technology can provide tools to handle the complexity of data in the form of analytics.

Ventana Research recently conducted a study examining business analytics in manufacturing. Participants expressed a number of common concerns regarding the need for and use of business analytics. Most participants are concerned about how well they handle them; only 21 percent are satisfied with their current analytics efforts.

For businesses wishing to improve their performance through business analytics, here are 10 recommendations.

1. Assess the maturity of your business analytics.
2. Look for business analytics tools that are easy to use and flexible.
3. Look for tools that support a range of roles in your environment.
4. Ensure business analytics are widely accessible.
5. Don’t let inferior data undermine use of business analytics and metrics.
6. Replace spreadsheets as tools for business analytics.
7. It helps when IT and the lines of business work together on analytics.
8. Understand the value of predictive and forward-looking analytics.
9. Address barriers standing in the way of improving business analytics and performance.
10. Resources must be adequate to enable investment in technology to make analytics easy to access and use.

What do you think, do you have other suggestions as to how analytical can improve a business?

Multilingual Accountant Shortage Continues

Posted: August 31st, 2011 Category: Accountancy and Finance Jobs No Comments »

Despite the medias focus on layoffs and closures, multilingual talent with financial exposure have absolutely nothing to fear. While journalists deliver outsider opinion on the markets to the press, our finance recruitment teams deal with insider fact that the Irish multilingual finance market has been buoyant and rising since early 2010.  As result a Pharma Multinational has selected our finance team to work on an exclusive project sourcing Multilingual Accountants.

Finance skills in demand and short supply are general ledger, analysis, capital, compliance, spend reporting, month end closing, forecasting and budgeting. Opportunity is there for finance professionals with fluency in Dutch, Spanish, Nordic languages, French, German, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Greek and more. What strikes us as interesting and another indicator that the market has shifted is this need for talent in Ireland. This may come as a surprise to our European counterparts that Ireland is still considered an attractive option for multinationals, a hub of talent with our attractive salaries, low corporate taxes for employers and low income tax for employees.  According to Natasha Bevan of Careers Register “”There are only a handful of good people available and a result we are going to have to start looking outside of Ireland.  We have a substantial amount of positions that we need to fill, so we are asking multilingual professionals in Ireland to spread the word and get in touch.”

If you or anyone you know is considering a change or a move contact us now on 01 500 5987/ 087 890 7119 or email Natasha.Bevan@careers-register.com.
