Demand for HTML5 Jobs in Dublin

Wednesday, September 21st, 2011

I have read recently that HTML5 is one of the future technologies that is set to change the way we use the web and drastically change how pages are refreshed to give us much more interactivity. Alongside this, I’ve also seen a significant demand from my clients for candidates with HTML5 and Objective C.

This demand for HTML5 has happened slowly but it’s upon us now. This time last year there was no real demand for Web Developers to have HTML5, Objective C or JavaScript now they want all three.

If you are a HTML5 developer, can you tell me your own feedback on the technology. Does it give you the functionality you need, do you enjoy working on it and using it?

I’m seeing very positive salary trends for candidates with HTML5 and keen to discuss your experience with HTML5. If you have any thoughts or questions please let me know on Belinda.bielenberg@cpl.ie or call me on 01-6146058.

For more on Objective C I will be back next week but please feel free to let me know of your thoughts on this blog belinda.bielenberg@cpl.ie.

Demand for HTML5, Javascript and Objective C skills for Web Development Jobs in Dublin rising

Thursday, September 15th, 2011

Over the last three Quarters, we have seen a steady increase in the demand for candidates with experience in HTML5 and Objective C for Web Development roles in Dublin.

Given what we know that there are more mobile users than PC users and the rise of Smartphone’s/iPad’s is out pacing growth in the traditional PC market, this has led companies to look for more mobile solutions. With this rising interest in Mobile Application Development, clients are now looking for web developers with experience in HTML5 and Objective C alongside JavaScript skills. There was only one online company seeking candidates with Objective C, HTML5 and Javascript this time last year, remarkably now most clients want candidates with all three.

Web Developers who have experience with HTML5, Objective C and JavaScript will be in demand now and over the next 2-3 years. Our suggestion is that if you are a web developer you should look to up skill and learn HTML5, Objective C or JavaScript. If you can sign up to some external courses to see what way this is progressing it will definitely help you build your skills profile.

We are also seeing that salary levels for Web Developers with these skills are very positive and holding. So longer term these represent good career progression as you have the opportunity to be working with cutting edge technology but earning power can be sustained.
