We all know that the IT Industry has been one of the main industries not affected by the recession.  When you drill into the specific areas particularly Software Test Engineers, it’s clear to see that there is no recession for QA’s. The Software Test and Development team has seen a significant increase  in the demand for the following skills:

• Test script development, Python and TCL test suites, beanshell, Perl, VMware and database management.  Automated test suites, testing online services / Internet-based systems, browser and server side test automation (Selenium, Fitness ) and Agile.

•  Careers in Test Engineering have often been seen as the second cousin to Software Development.  However, we are seeing that Test Engineers are highly valued and companies are investing in very interesting career paths for their key QA staff.

As we look back at the end of Quarter 2, the demand for Test Engineers with strong testing in online services and test script development are dramatically increasing.
